Powder concept
A proprietary concept has been developed to convert Subcoal® pellets into a very fine powdered fuel specifically suited for co-combustion in pulverized coal-fired and specific gas-fired furnaces.
The powder concept, i.e. Subcoal® powder, uses a comprehensive milling technology that cost-economically results in particle size distributions well below 2 mm. The fuel powder obtained resembles the burn-out behaviour and charateristics of pulverized (brown) coal. Therefore, Subcoal® powder is well-suited for co-combustion in pulverized coal-fired power plants and lime kilns in which fast and complete burn-out of the fuel is a pre-requisite.
