Physical characteristics
Subcoal® products can be custom-produced regarding the physical characteristics to fit the end-application. Three typical physical forms can be distinguished:
1. Subcoal® fluff
2. Subcoal® pellets
3. Subcoal® powder
Subcoal® fluff
Subcoal® fluff is offered in particle size distributions ranging from > 20mm. Fluff is the most cost-beneficial solution especially for rotary kilns (cement and lime kilns).
Subcoal® pellets
Subcoal® pellets can be offered in several hardnesses ranging from soft pellets to hard pellets. Subcoal® pellets have, next to their superior quality characteristics, strong benefits with respect to handling, transportation, storage and dosing into furnaces. Pellets are also interesting for rotary kilns (cement and lime kilns).
Subcoal® powder
Subcoal® powder is a proprietary concept of Qlyte. Subcoal® powder is specifically designed high-demanding industrial furnaces such pulverized coal-fired and natural gas-fired systems. These systems require a fast and complete burn-out of the fuel. For more information, please visit our powder concept page.
